The UTS Faculty of Health is a broad and multi-disciplinary faculty that addresses health from conception to end of life.

A long-standing partner of health professions, the faculty is highly engaged with the health sector, industry, practitioners, and the worldwide research community.

About the role

As a Professor of Nursing, you will provide leadership with to the teaching, research and curriculum development, contributing to the strategic goals of the School, Faculty and University.

In this role, you will develop and prepare materials for and teach into undergraduate and postgraduate programs as required using evidence based high impact teaching strategies, while engaging with industry partners. You will produce high-quality research outcomes, including securing internal and external funding, publishing in leading journals, and managing small research projects. The role will also play an active role in the supervision and mentoring of staff in the discipline of nursing.

About You

You will bring strong leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective and collaborative relationships with colleagues, students and industry partners. With experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, you will demonstrate leadership in developing teams and fostering productive collaborations. You will also have the capability to supervise Honours, Masters and Higher Degree Research students, supporting their academic and professional success. Other requirements include:

* PhD in nursing
* APHRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
* Excellence in research and leadership, demonstrated through strong refereed publications and success in securing research grants.
* High-quality teaching and supervision, with extensive experience across undergraduate and postgraduate (coursework and research) programs.
* Proven leadership in curriculum development and educational delivery.

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $228,179 (Level E), plus 17% superannuation (pension)

The position is full-time and will be made on a continuing basis.
