Job Overview
This role is responsible for coordinating services, including line management of Case Workers and Associate Case Workers. All services will be delivered in accordance with organisational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program Delivery/Operational Support
• Collaborate with the Team to operate within the mission and guidelines of Centacare North Queensland and all legislative requirements.
• Oversee the coordination and documentation of program service delivery, in consultation with Manager. Including Departmental and internal reporting
• Coordinate case and workloads including rosters specific to the teams Program delivery.
• Maintain a sound working knowledge of the program/s service delivery required program outcomes and model a consistent professional approach to all duties associated with the role.
* Operational
• Reporting of program delivery performance in Dept approved data bases and monitor for trend analysis, system and a CM practice improvements
• Case management support appropriate to the program target group and work according to relevant crisis intervention strategies to engage participants to achieve both program and individual goals.
• Monitor program evaluations so service delivery is enhanced and adjusted as required to meet needs.
• Participate in direct service delivery, represent and promote Centacare programs within the agency and the wider community
• Liaise effectively with the Funding Department and the Investment and Procurement representative Maintaining a strong understanding of departmental and organisational requirements in relation to reporting, outputs and outcomes.
• Contribute to Centacare NQ leadership goals by supporting the business plan implementation at an operational level.
* People Management Staff
• Assist with all aspects of recruitment, staff orientation, training and practice education.
• Provision of Line Management mentoring, support and professional development of staff that is in line with program and organisational needs.
• Monitor staffing needs, including training, support and performance management, as well as recruitment and selection of staff in accordance with Agency policy and procedures.
• With the support of the Remote Operations Manager, participate in any Performance Management issues of staff in a timely manner.
• Ensure staff's conduct and approach to work is consistent with the organisation's ethos and mission, Business Plan and Code of Ethics and Conduct.
* Compliance/Risk Management/Reporting
• Comply with legislation (including Work Health & Safety, Privacy and Equal Employment Opportunity), service agreements and Quality Management requirements.
• Risk assessment, compliance, mandatory reporting, Quality Management Systems
• Actively participate in closure of building duties.
• Willingness and ability to work outside normal office hours as determined by Program Manager.
* Reporting
• Monitoring of service agreements and ensuring program deliverables are met e.g., departmental reporting, organisational business planning and reporting.
• Oversee and approve program expenditure in line with approved budget and delegation schedule in consultation with the Manager Financial Services
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree-level qualification in social work, human services or behavioural science.
* Cert 4 Level qualification in the community sector with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, working within relevant case management framework, including experience in culturally appropriate community work
* Experience or demonstrated capacity to actively lead a team in understanding and participating in operational planning and program service delivery, including evaluation and outcomes measured approaches
* Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and service delivery expectations of the funding body
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Current Open drivers license
* Current or ability to obtain, Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Disability Workers Screening Yellow Card.
