Graduate Civil Engineers sought for Austral Construction's 2026 Graduate Program in Perth, WA, offering diverse project experience and strong team culture.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Participating in a two-year rotational graduate program across operations, tendering, finance, HSE & QA, commercial, HR, workshop, and engineering departments
* Working alongside experienced Project Managers, Engineers, and Estimators on diverse projects in mining and infrastructure sectors
* Engaging in regular site travel and/or fly-in fly-out (FIFO) rosters, primarily in the Pilbara region of WA
* Gaining exposure to all aspects of project management, tendering, finance, safety, commercial operations, HR, equipment workshops, and engineering design
* Completing a six-month placement in either marine or civil/mining projects, progressing towards a site engineer role
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and participating in structured training, mentoring, and self-development activities
* Attending seminars, webinars, and networking events hosted by Austral and Keller
* Reporting to and receiving feedback from senior leadership through quarterly reviews and presentations
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering field.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
* Australian or New Zealand citizenship, Australian permanent residency, or unrestricted working rights in Australia
* A current Australian driver's license
* Willingness to travel regionally and nationally as required
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to learning and development
* Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical check, online tests, and inductions
* Reside in Western Australia and be graduating in 2025
* Experience with CAD software and Microsoft Office products (as per employer questions)
