Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Network Support Specialist to provide technical support under an on-call model across various locations in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop support, EUC, and smart hands, with excellent knowledge of Windows OS, O365, Active Directory, and common desktop applications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing onsite support for incidents, service requests, and installations, performing break-fix, IMAC, and preventive maintenance activities, handling hardware replacements, upgrades, and troubleshooting for end-user devices.
This is a challenging role that requires collaboration with remote support and service desk teams to ensure timely resolution, maintaining accurate logs of dispatch calls, asset details, and work completion reports, coordinating with vendors or third-party support teams when needed.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Providing onsite technical support under an on-call model
* Performing break-fix, IMAC, and preventive maintenance activities
* Handling hardware replacements, upgrades, and troubleshooting for end-user devices
* Collaborating with remote support and service desk teams
Required Skills & Experience
* 3+ years of experience in desktop support, EUC, smart hands, field engineering
* Strong knowledge of Windows OS, O365, Active Directory, and common desktop applications
* Basic understanding of network concepts (LAN / WAN, IP addressing, cabling, patching)
* Hands-on hardware troubleshooting (laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, peripherals)
* Familiarity with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar
