We are inviting Expressions of Interest for a Contracts Manager for upcoming contracts across our Defence programs. Focusing on services, sustainment and acquisition, you'll be involved in contracts and programs that enhance CAE's part in delivering excellence to our Defence customers.
Role is based in Sydney, NSW
The role is responsible for the Contract Management, Governance and Control processes, including configuration management of the Contract and related Contract Data and Requirements List (CDRL) items, are complied with.
The Contract Manager is a key person for the Customers contracts team and is the first to address and resolve contractual issues including disputes, interpretation, flow-down requirements to subcontractors, identifying and mitigating commercial risks, meeting contractual requirements and the management of formal correspondence.
The Contracts Manager is also responsible for development of Contract Change Proposals and ensuring Quotations are generated in accordance with the Contract. Additionally, the role is responsible for subcontractor and supplier management, and ensuring CAE's export control obligations are met.
The role we offer you:
* Support the Program Managers in the day to day management of the Contract.
* Manage and maintain the Document Management System, including the configuration management of the Contract
* Own and manage the Contract Change Proposals and Survey & Quotes
* Develop and administer CDRL items
* Subcontractor and supplier management
* Manage insurance requirements supported by global risk management
* Draft, guide and recommend actions to the Program Manager, as appropriate
* Contribute to continuous improvement activities
Our ideal candidate has:
* Minimum of 5 years experience in Contract Management
* Demonstrated experience with the ASDEFCON suite of templates
* Sound experience in commercial management
* Proven track record in contract management within a complex, matrix, project environment.
* Excellent communication, drafting, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to proactively problem solve and implement practical solutions for the customer, and the business.
* Experience working in Objective (ideal)
* Legal or business discipline qualification, or equivalent experience (ideal)

Security requirements
As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
