Accounts Assistant

Join a well-established, close-knit business specialising in security alarm systems, supporting engineering, research, and development across Australia and overseas. This is a great opportunity to step into a stable, full-time role working closely with an experienced Accountant.
About the Role:
We're seeking a capable Accounts Assistant to support finance and purchasing operations. This is a hands‐on role requiring strong attention to detail and confidence when working with both local and international suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and expedite purchase orders with overseas suppliers
* Enter goods received and maintain accurate records
* Process invoices using MYOB (transitioning to Accumatica ERP from July)
* Coordinate payments for local and international vendors
* Maintain accurate vendor and banking details
* Assist with accounts receivable and payment follow‐ups
* Liaise with warehouse, purchasing, and dispatch teams
* General administration and phone enquiries
About You:
* Previous experience in an accounts or similar role
* Strong understanding of purchase orders and invoicing processes
* Confident working with international suppliers and exchange rates
* High attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Clear and professional communication skills
