Happy Haven OSHC is currently seeking a passionate and motivated Education & Care Compliance Auditor!

About us:

Happy Haven OSHC is a South Australian-owned and operated company managing 44 OSHC services across the state. We are an Approved Provider with an expert team capable of running outstanding OSHC programs on school sites.

About the role:

Join us as an Education & Care Compliance Auditor and play a key role in ensuring that all Happy Haven OSHC services and teams operate within a safe and healthy environment. You will make a significant impact by supporting our efforts to meet regulatory requirements and uphold the wellbeing of the children under our care.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver strategic plan on time and on budget.
* Develop and maintain up to date policies and procedures for the Business Unit.
* Develop and maintain reports position descriptions and performance reviews that align with organisational values and strategic plans.
* Effective management and delegation of team.
* Audit and recommend improvements to compliance with regulatory requirements across services and the Operations Business Units.
* Audit and recommend improvements to Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs), ensuring that they are in place and to standard.
* Identify and make recommendations for inclusion funding.
* Audit and recommend improvements to meal planning.
* Audit and recommend improvements to service programming.
* Establish schedule for regular auditing of challenging areas of practice or compliance.
* Develop and review Workplace Health and Safety Compliance Audit Procedure.
* Communicate checklist and audit results to relevant business unit for action, with follow up procedure activated.
* Ensure accreditation is registered and maintained.
* Manage and review all compliance processes within Operations Business Units.
* Develop calendar for assessment of compliance 'focus areas'.
* Develop framework for all risk assessments that meet needs of compliance audit.
* Oversee the development of a digitised risk assessment procedure, workflow and process.
* Provide mentoring and guidance of compliance to Operations Business Units.
* At the request of the Primary Return to Work Co-ordinator engage in Return to Work (RTW) claims as required and/or independently assess for compliance.
* Engage in Pre-Assessment & Rating audits at services and recommend improvements, and inform on recommendations to areas of improvement.
* Provide recommendations on responses to Compliance Actions (including Emergency Action Notices) communicated from Regulatory Authorities.
* Review and assess Compliance Actions (including Emergency Action Notices) communicated by Regulatory Authorities and collate data to inform high level decision-making on compliance improvement priorities.
* Provide recommendations and action plans to address compliance deficiencies.
* Maintain a register of identified deficiencies which includes multiple audits until compliance has been achieved and maintained for a period of no less than six months.

Requirements:

* In-depth knowledge of National Quality Framework
* Knowledge and understanding of Early Childhood Education and Care best practice.
* Knowledge and understanding of inclusion and inclusive practices in an Early Childhood Education and Care environment.
* Knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) in an OSHC setting.
* Ability to develop assessment tools and processes for improving the delivery of OSHC services.
* Thorough understanding of National Quality Assurance IT System (NQAITS) guidelines and processes.
* Understanding and experience in risk escalation process and reporting.
* Through knowledge and experience of the Program Planning Cycle and ability to implement across the organisation.
* Computer literacy with digital systems/tools, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report and interact with various teams
* Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
* Current valid Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to various OSHC locations as required
* Hold or willing to obtain a Return-to-Work Coordinator Certification
* Hold or willing to obtain a valid National Police Check (required)
* Hold or willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (required)
* Hold or be willing to obtain Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RHHAN-EC) masterclass certificate (required)
