Company Accountant Role
The role of Company Accountant involves delivering accurate data, reports and analysis to various teams, leadership and the wider business.
A key responsibility will be translating complex financial and project information into practical insights.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare management accounts (monthly, quarterly, annual)
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements
* Analyze project data, costs and margins
* Deliver variance analysis and predictive models for operations
* Build dashboards in Power BI and models in Excel
* Provide actionable insights for Finance and business units
* Develop datasets with Power Query (M) and SQL; automate with VBA / Python
Requirements:
Construction or heavy industry experience preferred
3+ years in similar roles (5+ ideal)
Strong management and financial accounting background
Experience with large ERPs; Dynamics 365 BC preferred
Advanced Excel, Power BI, practical SQL / VBA (Python a plus)
CA / CPA qualified or progressing, mentoring available
Big 4 or mid-tier firm exposure valued
