We are excited to present this opportunity for a Structural Engineer within our Storage Equipment Division (SED) and Integrated Systems Group (ISG) teams in Belrose. This role is suited to a proactive self-starter and involves designing storage equipment solutions for premier client sites.
* SED specializes in warehouse racking solutions such as ColbyRACK, manufactured in Australia for over 50 years.
* ISG focuses on designing, costing, and selling tailored solutions involving racking, platforms, automated storage, conveyors, sorting systems, software, and logistics equipment, from our own range and external suppliers.
Tasks And Qualifications
What You Will Be Working On
This hands-on design, 3D modelling, drafting, and project-based role involves:
* Supporting our Storage Equipment Division and Structural Engineering teams through all project phases, including sales, design, engineering, and installation.
* Reviewing and developing structural designs considering safety, environmental impact, and sustainability.
* Managing budgets and schedules for assigned projects and reporting to the Project Manager and Directors.
* Supporting product design and testing for internal development.
* Assisting sales in developing and reviewing design concepts.
* Coordinating with onsite manufacturing to ensure quality and timely delivery.
* Working with purchasing to meet specifications.
* Liaising with engineering teams, site managers, quality and safety teams, subcontractors, clients, and distributors to ensure smooth project execution.
* Attending technical reviews and ensuring compliance with engineering processes.
Setting You Up For Success
Successful candidates will possess:
* At least 3 years of structural engineering or drafting experience
* Qualifications in Structural or Civil Engineering
* Experience with Cold Form Steel Structures is advantageous
* Knowledge of Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia
* Experience in the material handling industry is highly regarded
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor, with a willingness to learn Tekla Structures
* Experience in architectural design coordination
