Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges within a correctional setting. The role involves conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to support rehabilitation and overall wellbeing.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to create a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive healthcare environment, ensuring dignity and high-quality care for every individual.
This role requires strong assessment and case management skills, with experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have a current Australian Registered Nurse practicing certificate (AHPRA) and at least two years of clinical experience, ideally in mental health, primary care, or acute/emergency settings.
The team is looking for someone who can work effectively in a highly secure environment, demonstrating resilience, empathy, and professionalism. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.
About the Team
The Clarence Correctional Centre is a state-of-the-art facility that opened in mid-2020. Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast, the region offers rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes, and some of the best Australian beaches.
