Are you a proven leader in shutdown and industrial services delivery? Tasman Rope Access is seeking a Site Manager to oversee the end-to-end execution of rope access and industrial projects within a refinery environment. This hands-on leadership role is key to upholding our high standards of safety, performance, and client satisfaction.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage high-risk site activities from mobilisation through to demobilisation, ensuring project delivery is safe, compliant, and efficient. You'll foster a high-performing site culture, mentor supervisors, and act as the primary client interface.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee shutdowns, confined space work, and rope access operations
* Develop detailed execution plans and schedules
* Lead safety initiatives and compliance with refinery permit systems
* Build strong relationships with site stakeholders
* Mentor and develop frontline leaders and project teams
* Ensure accurate reporting, cost control, and asset management
About You
You’re an experienced site leader who thrives in high-risk industrial settings. With strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset, you're confident managing multidisciplinary teams and working directly with clients to deliver operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
* IRATA certification or rope access supervision experience
* Background in mechanical, fabrication, or electrical trades
* 3–5 years in shutdown/industrial project delivery
* Strong WHS knowledge and refinery experience preferred
* Confined Space, WAH, Gas Test, EWP, Forklift tickets desirable
* Strong reporting, planning, and digital tool proficiency
