Advanced Cancer Care Specialist
Healthcare professionals with expertise in oncology and haematology are sought to provide patient-centered care at the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
* Job Summary:
* We are seeking a skilled nurse to lead a multidisciplinary team in providing comprehensive cancer care services, including patient assessment, education, and management of treatment side effects.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Practice as an advanced practice nurse in accordance with professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice.
* Provide expert communication skills, knowledge, and clinical leadership in patient assessment, education, and support of patients receiving inpatient cancer treatment.
* Manage central venous access devices, administer blood products, and demonstrate an understanding of cancer treatment modalities such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapies, radiation therapy, and surgery.
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, safe services and workplaces.
* Requirements:
* Nurse Grade 6 (1) qualification or higher.
* Current registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
* Experience in cancer care nursing and leadership roles.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
