About the Role
We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Outbye Mechanical Fitter to join and support our Outbye crews at Ironbark No.1
Mine.
You will be reporting to the ERZ Controller and be responsible to work towards production targets safely, support efficiencies in all associated Outbye functions and undertake relevant tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Working safely and efficiently in all associated Outbye functions, to support the achievement of production targets and undertake any other tasks for the operations.
Preparation, planning and timely execution of daily work as issued from the approved weekly schedules.
Contributing to the development of a safe, positive and collaborative organisational culture.
Ensuring that any maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with relevant coal mining legislation and requirements.
Carry out breakdown repairs to equipment as required.
Provide a daily shift report, indicating the results of routine examinations carried out on the shift, any defects found and/or repaired, hours worked on each job, and an assessment of the relevant piece of equipment where required.
Got What It Takes?
Significant experience in underground coal operations.
Relevant trade qualifications and tickets.
Standard 11 Surface and Underground certification.
Proven commitment to safety in all aspects of work.
A strong drive to achieve business goals and outcomes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
