Coal Handling Operations Role
The position of Coal Handling Operations is open at a location in Queensland's Bowen Basin on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people.
We are seeking individuals to work a 7 on 7 off rotating day and night shift roster. This role involves operating and monitoring the coal handling prep plant, performing production tasks, including inspections, troubleshooting of production issues, machinery operation, and cleaning activities to maintain housekeeping standards.
Responsibilities:
* Operate and monitor the coal handling prep plant (CHPP).
* Perform production tasks, including inspections, troubleshooting of production issues, machinery operation, and cleaning activities to maintain housekeeping standards.
* Assist the maintenance team as needed for breakdown maintenance repairs.
* Identify and rectify hazards, damage, and defects.
* Ensure all incidents, breaches, near misses, and hazards are reported.
* Cultivate positive relationships with all key stakeholders through effective communication and consultation.
* Actively take part in the BHP Operating System (BOS) to improve processes and remove waste from the business.
Requirements:
* Prior work experience in coal handling and processing or other minerals processing.
* Previous authorisations/qualifications for CHPP RII competencies (RIIIPRO301D, RIIMCP301D, RIIWB203D, or RIIIPRO302D).
* Mechanical or electrical trade background (preferred).
