Job Overview
The museum is seeking a retired person to carry out the duties of Accountant/Bookkeeper.
We are using a Xero package to process the financial transactions and carry out the usual responsibilities associated with the position.
The Foundation is a company limited by guarantee and thus we are registered with ASIC.
We are also registered with ACNC (not for profit) and for GST with the ATO requiring preparation / lodgement of quarterly BAS returns.
Annually, we are required to prepare an Annual Report (subject to an external audit) for presentation to members/volunteers.
Part of the duties will require the preparation of quarterly reports to the Board; preparation of annual budgets and arranging payment to suppliers and follow up debtors on a timely basis.
The current Accountant will be available for the transition.
