Administration Officer Trainee (Junior School)

Toowoomba Grammar School (TGS) is seeking an enthusiastic and committed trainee to undertake a Business Traineeship commencing in Term 4 2025.
In this role, you will assist with a variety of routine administrative, clerical, and operational tasks that support the Junior School team. As part of this Traineeship, you will complete a Certificate III in Business, gaining a valuable qualification while you work.
Throughout the 12-month program, you will undertake 375 hours of study and, upon completion, will be awarded your Certificate III in Business. You will receive 'on the job' training, with additional study required on your own time. There are opportunities to apply your new knowledge to contribute to innovative changes in your role.
About TGS
TGS was founded in 1875 and is an independent, non-denominational day and boarding school for boys, with a total enrolment of 1,200 students from Preparatory to Year 12. Approximately 300 boarders come from Queensland, Northern New South Wales, and the Northern Territory. The campus covers 20.5 hectares and is located one kilometre from Toowoomba's centre.

To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have strong organisational and communication skills, capable of managing workloads, interacting with colleagues, and maintaining accuracy in administrative tasks.
* Demonstrate customer service excellence, including confident phone manner and effective stakeholder liaison.
* Possess beginner to intermediate computer skills, with the ability to use Microsoft applications and learn school software like TASS.
* Exhibit professionalism and reliability, maintaining a professional appearance, punctuality, and confidentiality in line with policies.

Remuneration:
Wages can be up to $838.00 per week (plus superannuation), depending on your highest completed schooling year and years out of school, as per Schedule E of the National Training Wage of the Miscellaneous Award 2020.
