We are looking to expand our team with a motivated and detail-oriented Estimating Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable hands-on experience in the estimating and project planning process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing detailed and timely estimates for a variety of construction projects
* Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify scope and material requirements
* Collaborate with senior team members to ensure estimates meet deadlines and budget targets
* Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing and availability information
* Assist in compiling and submitting professional bid packages
* Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as needed
* Support the preparation of change orders and other project documentation
* Maintain accurate records of all estimates and related correspondence
What We're Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field would be highly regarded, but not required.
* 1–2 years of experience in estimating or a related discipline would be highly regarded
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
* Solid understanding of construction materials and methods
