About the role
McConnell Dowell has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Project Engineer to join our project team at our Aura & Harmony trunk infrastructure project on the Sunshine Coast. This role plays a crucial part in the successful operation of a project that is delivering critical new water and wastewater infrastructure to support the growth of Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

As the Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinate with Managers and Superintendents on Engineering, temporary works, scheduling and status of the project.
* Provide overall progress reports and other reports related to schedule and cost as required by the Project Manager.
* Provide general technical assistance to supervisory personnel.
* Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel.
* Develop and oversee inspection practices of Site Engineers to ensure effective and satisfactory progress and completion of all work areas for the project.
About you
* Relevant Engineering tertiary qualification or equivalent.
* Experience in installation of valves and fittings.
* Experience with MSCL pipelines and welding.
* Previous experience working on Unitywater or SEQwater projects would be highly regarded.
* Sound working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same.
* Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage others.
