In this pivotal role, you'll work alongside state leadership teams, Goodstart centres, government agencies, and other not-for-profit organizations to achieve inclusion for children, families and employees.
Your Impact
As a Social Inclusion Coordinator, you'll support children who may be experiencing vulnerability due to developmental delay, disability, trauma, cultural diversity, or other risk factors. You'll play a crucial role in:
- Enhancing early childhood outcomes through provision of specialist inclusion advice, support, and coaching to our centre teams.
- Supporting children with additional needs in centres in Regional Queensland to ensure they can access and meaningfully participate in early learning.
- Providing professional learning to Centre Directors, Educators and other Goodstart staff on inclusive practices in ECEC.
- Contributing to partnerships with other not for profit organisations and government departments to maximise the impact of social inclusion strategies within local communities.
Contribute to long-term planning and innovation in Regional Queensland to help Goodstart achieve its goal of "Inclusion for Everyone" – for children, families, and employees.

You’ll bring to the table:
- Tertiary qualifications in an early childhood education and/or health or welfare related discipline.
- Experience in leading change and delivering inclusive services in an education or health care setting.
- Experience at a senior management level in an early childhood education or health care setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of community and government networks/ resources and proven skill in utilising these to develop partnerships, services and programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of policies, frameworks and funding supports for children and families including the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard, Inclusion Support Programme, National Disability Insurance Scheme and relevant state-based funding (e.g. Kindy Uplift).
- Qualifications at graduate or post-graduate level specialising in inclusive practice
- Exposure to and confidence operating within government regulated and legislative operational environments.
- Experience in successfully managing complex projects.
- Experience developing, implementing and evaluating strategic plans.
