Nganampa Health Council, an Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Organisation, is seeking a skilled and hands‑on Maintenance Manager to provide expert advice and guidance on all maintenance work essential to the smooth operation of our services. To be successful in this role you must have a current Driver's Licence as extensive travel across the APY Lands is involved. This is a dynamic and varied role which includes:
Key Duties
* Lead day‑to‑day maintenance operations across NHC sites.
* Undertake minor repairs and hands‑on maintenance tasks.
* Plan and deliver preventative maintenance programs.
* Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers.
* Respond to breakdowns and urgent maintenance issues.
* Maintain safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Keep accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.
* Monitor stock levels of tools and maintenance supplies.
* Contribute to facility improvements and small project planning.
* Manage security and the keying system across the APY Lands.
* Communicate professionally with suppliers, tenants, and internal teams.
* Participate in WHS committee activities, incident reviews and reporting.
* Trade qualification or equivalent experience in maintenance, building or facilities management.
* Training in Asset or Facilities Management and/or experience in regulated environments (preferred).
* Experience supporting and coordinating work across dispersed sites, contractors and service providers.
* Ability to influence and contribute to improvements in asset and maintenance management.
* Experience managing a range of equipment and building assets.
* Competence using computer‑based maintenance management systems.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
* Sound leadership, good judgement and ability to guide others effectively.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands and deliver outcomes.
* Commitment to WHS, quality assurance, continuous improvement and environmental standards.
This position is well suited to a capable maintenance professional or skilled tradesperson who is confident working across both practical tasks and basic maintenance coordination.
This role requires National Police Clearance, Working with Children's Check and Working with Vulnerable Persons Check.
