We are a fast-growing Malaysian restaurant known for authentic street food, fresh cooking, and high-energy service. We are looking for a motivated cook to join our kitchen team and support daily operations in a busy environment.
The Role
You will assist in preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring efficient service during peak periods.
Cooks are responsible for preparing food, maintaining sanitation, and working closely with other kitchen staff to deliver consistent meals under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes
* Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
* Operate kitchen equipment safely
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of food preparation areas
* Follow food safety regulations
* Assist with stock rotation and storage
* Work efficiently during busy service periods
* Support other team members as required
* prepare, season, and cook food while maintaining sanitation and safe kitchen practices.
Skills & Experience
* Ability to work fast in a high-pressure kitchen
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
* Willingness to perform all kitchen tasks
* Ability to maintain high hygiene standards
* Experience in Malaysian, Asian, Indian, or similar cuisine
* Previous restaurant or commercial kitchen experience
* Knowledge of food safety practices
* Ability to multitask efficiently
* Demonstrate strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining food standards.
Working Hours
Shifts may include:
* Morning: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
* Evening: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
* Weekends and public holidays required
