Work for our Local Council based in the Southern Highlands. You will manage a team of 3; including 2 Finance Business Partners & 1 Senior Management Accountant. Your team is responsible for the preparation and reviewal of Council's statutory reporting requirements. About the Position
A permanent opportunity. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will have 3 direct reports. Your role is to lead your team to create a Finance Business Partnering model that emphasises strong relationships with leaders across Council & a strong process in managing Branch and Section budgets for forecasting and future planning. Duties
Manage and lead the accounting preparation: regular reviewal of Council's budget, Long Term Financial Plan and Fees & Charges Provide high-level financial advice, analysis and financial reporting Be responsible for the management of all financial transactions, ensuring risk mitigation and statutory regulatory obligations Coordinate the Management Accounting team employee life cycle Continuously review and improve Council's financial processes Skills & Experience
Previous Local Council experience highly regarded Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or relevant Post-tertiary professional qualification (CPA, CA or equivalent) Minimum five years' experience in similar role Demonstrated experience leading a team of financial professionals Benefits & Remuneration
