Merchandiser Role Summary

This Merchandiser position involves ensuring stores have the right stock at the right time, delivering sales, markdown, stock, intake, and profit plans.

Key Responsibilities
\

* Review previous season's performance to capture lessons learned.
\
* Create a merchandise strategy for the department and present it.
\
* Approve proposed grading from the trading Merchandiser for input into assortment planning.
\
* Plan quarterly at category/sub-class/brand level with the Buyer to submit a plan that reflects the best possible mix of product to deliver KPIs.
\
* Attend selection/pre-selection meetings with the Buyer and suppliers.
\
* Plan pre-scheduling of store allocations and orders to meet the range plan in conjunction with Assistant Merchandisers.
\
* Overview size ratios for all buys in conjunction with Assistant Merchandiser.
\
* Ensure Buy matches the plan Buy.
\
* Propose new ways of working and planning, and implement them.
\
* Review weekly trading performance and achieved KPIs, identifying issues and course of action for weekly trading meetings.
\
* Propose and agree actions to recover risk and maximise opportunities with the Buyer at category and line level.
\
* Review store stock imbalances and recommend resolutions.
\
* Ensure DC stock flows to stores in a timely manner.
\
* Ensure product is ranged online and adequately stocked and supported.
\
* Capture agreed actions in monthly forecast reviews.
\
* Forecast sales variance to plan.
\
* Create OTBs.
\
* Manage commitments - on-time delivery, rebuys cancellations.
\
* Propose markdowns.
\
* Review and approve refill orders.
\
* Review orderbook and recommend reflow and cancel requirements actions.
\
* Create and manage/maintain sell out dates against all products.
\
* Manage intake at category and line level.
\
* Lead the Merchandise team to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard while maintaining a positive working atmosphere.
\
* Guide and direct the Merchandising Team to help deliver the plan.
\
* Establish working relationships with Store Operations, Visuals, Marketing, Finance, and Distribution Centre to ensure maximum profit.
\
* Establish working relationships with suppliers.
