The Role
As a Technician at BYD Mornington, you will play a key role in delivering high‐quality servicing, diagnostics and repairs across BYD's advanced electric vehicle range. You will work in a modern workshop environment with access to ongoing manufacturer training and the latest technology.
Key responsibilities include:
* Performing scheduled servicing, diagnostics and repairs on BYD vehicles
* Working with electric vehicle systems in line with manufacturer standards
* Identifying and rectifying faults accurately and efficiently
* Completing job cards and documentation to a high standard
* Supporting the service team to deliver an excellent customer experience
* Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement
About You
We are looking for a technician who is passionate about technology, quality workmanship and the future of automotive.
You will ideally have:
* Trade qualification as an Automotive Technician
* Experience working in a dealership or workshop environment
* Strong diagnostic and problem‐solving skills
* An interest in electric vehicles and new technology
* A proactive attitude with a commitment to learning
* A current Australian driver's licence
* The ability to work well in a team environment
Previous EV experience is advantageous but not essential as full BYD training will be provided.
