Job Description
Role - Cloud Developer (GCP)
Location: Sydney (3 days onsite)
Responsibilities
* Design and develop cloud native applications using GCP services and programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
* Implement scalable and secure cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
* Build APIs and microservices using serverless technologies like Google Cloud Functions and Cloud Run.
* Integrate applications with various GCP services including Cloud Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL.
* Configure and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP, including Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and App Engine.
* Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
* Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Jenkins, or similar automation tools.
* Automate deployment processes and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
* Work with GCP's data storage and analytics services including Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Datastore, and Cloud Bigtable.
* Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
* Set up monitoring and logging solutions using Google Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
Mandatory Skills
* Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification (Deal Breaker Skill).
* Strong experience in cloud based development, preferably with Google Cloud Platform.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
* Experience with GCP core services including Compute Engine, Google Cloud Platform PaaS Services, Cloud Functions, and Google Kubernetes Engine.
* Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
* Strong problem solving abilities and analytical thinking skills.
Preferred Skills
* Familiarity with multi cloud environments.
* Experience with data services like GCP Big Query, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL.
* Understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, load balancers, and security configurations.
* Experience with API development and integration.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 7 10 years of experience in cloud development, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.
