Overview
Do you have a passion for working with the elderly? Do you want to make a difference in someone’s life by assisting them to enjoy a full and independent life in their own home? We are seeking a Community Support Worker with significant experience, living in the Canning Vale, Southern River, Leeming and Piara Waters areas and willing to provide personal care services throughout the Perth metropolitan area in our newly created pool/float positions.
These pool/float positions are different from a mainstream Community Support Worker role:
- Set days and hours — Monday to Friday, 8am to 2pm (includes ½ hour unpaid lunch break)
- Cover sick calls — may be allocated as early as 7am for an 8am start on the day of service
- Cover leave periods
- If no services allocated, you may be required to come into Inglewood to assist with scheduling or admin duties for Brightwater at Home
- Willing to travel a distance to the first client (we endeavour to avoid travel more than 30–45 minutes to the first client, but there may be occasions to do so when covering sick or leave periods)
Essential availability : Permanent Part Time (Contracted 55 hours per fortnight): Monday to Friday — 8am to 2pm
Travel : Must be willing to travel throughout the entire Perth metropolitan area with their own vehicle
Essential : The ability to be versatile on a daily basis with an ever-changing roster and travel requirements

Our Brightwater At Home team will provide all the training and support you require to be the best Community Support Worker you can be.
About you and what you will need
- You are comfortable working on your own, and care about our clients as much as we do
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds
