We have several opportunities for qualified In Home Care Support Workers and are offering casual or permanent opportunities in Balnarring, Hastings, Rosebud, Capel Sound, Portsea, Sorrento, Rye and suburbs close to these areas.
We have 10 roles for Qualified workers in and around the Mornington Peninsula area. These roles are primarily for Aged Care clients looking for in home support - however there is some Disability support work also included. We require qualified people looking to work Monday to Friday 7am - 6pm (majority is school hours) and those interested in occasional weekend and sleep over shifts. Our weekday salary for a qualified worker starts at $44.96 per hour with weekend rates starting at $62.95 per hour. Transport/travel with a client attracts additional rates however there is no travel payment between clients.
Our Support Workers provide 1:1 support to our Aged and or Disability clients across the Mornington Peninsula area working alongside our dedicated team of Nurses, Community Support Professionals and other partners. This role provides our clients their day to day support needs to reach their goals.
Whilst experience in the sector is preferred, on the job training is available to help you jump-start your career. A Certificate III or IV in aged care or disability is desirable but not essential as we have plenty of shifts for non-qualified workers
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability) preferred. Different pay rates apply for qualified/unqualified workers.

The role:
This role involves travelling between customer's homes and assisting them with daily living and lifestyle requirements by providing person-centred care and support.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
* Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
* Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
* Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
* Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including: standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
* Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
* Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
* Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required
What you will need:
* Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (preferred)
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
* Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is preferred)
* Smartphone with internet access
* Willingness to work regular 1-2 hour shifts with possibility of longer should client choice allow
* Current First Aid certificate and CPR - First Aid and CPR certification must be obtained before starting work if not currently held
* Smartphone with internet access
* Proof of Working Rights in Australia
* Up to date vaccinations
* Excellent written and verbal skills in English
* Highly skilled in the used of different technologies and open to new learning programs
* High levels of empathy and a good understanding of business operational needs
* Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
* Current National Police Check (not required if NDIS endorsed on WWVP)
* Physical capability to assist with manual handling and personal care tasks
