About the role:8 days on / 6 days off (12 hour days). Mobilising from Perth, Broome or Derby.
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, you'll be out and about in the warehouse or the dock - whilst leading and supporting your team with their day-to-day duties.
We'll be asking your warehousing knowledge and focus on safety, team morale, productivity, maintaining on-site customer support and problem-solving. You and your team will play a vital role to ensure we have the right supplies on site for all planned work.
You'll be overseeing services to support the warehousing function including but not limited to; airfreight, sea freight, parts availability and storage.
What else you'll be doing:
* Ensuring all work is done in a safe and compliant manner.
* Monitoring and reporting on warehouse inventory levels / stock management processes.
* Airfreight - collecting, accounting for and receipting.
* Overseeing unloading, accounting for and receipting of inbound goods via barging service.
* Stocktaking and planning – freight management systems / spreadsheets.
* Dangerous Goods storage demobilisations.
* Daily interactions with planning, logistics, purchasing departments, and engaging with external suppliers.
* Helping us identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and/or quality controls.
To be considered for this role, we'll be looking for:
* Hands-on team leadership gained in mining or heavy industry.
* Cert 4 in Warehouse Operations, or equivalent qualification in related field or relevant experience.
* Current Drivers licence WA C Class.
* Load restraint knowledge.
* Proficiency with MS Excel and Pronto (or similar inventory management system).
* Forklift Licence and Safe Work at Heights.
If appointed to the role, we'll assist you to obtain:
* Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
* WHS Statutory Mining Supervisor course certification.
* Dangerous goods by Sea Certificate (IMDG Full Accept)
