Harmer Property Group Pty Ltd is looking for a skilled, hands-on Landscape Gardener to take day-to-day responsibility for the care, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of a substantial property in Terranora, NSW.

We are committed to maintaining a safe, attractive, and well-presented environment for residents and visitors, and we are seeking a reliable professional to look after the grounds on a full-time basis.
About the Role The Landscape Gardener will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing all gardens, lawns, trees and landscaped outdoor areas, as well as overseeing irrigation systems and the general presentation of the property.
This is a hands-on role that involves planning and carrying out horticultural and landscaping works, using a range of machinery and equipment, and ensuring the property is kept to a high standard at all times.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain all lawns, gardens, hedges, trees and landscaped areas to a high standard, including mowing, edging, pruning, mulching, weeding and planting.
Plan and carry out seasonal planting, plant selection, soil improvement and garden bed upgrades.
Operate and maintain gardening machinery and equipment such as mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, tractors, excavators and chainsaws (within licence requirements).
Manage soil health, fertilising programmes, mulching, pest and disease control, and general plant health care.
Install, monitor and maintain irrigation systems, timers and water efficiency measures, including basic troubleshooting and minor repairs.
Ensure driveways, pathways, car parks, outdoor seating areas and communal spaces are clean, safe and presentable.
Identify and implement opportunities for landscape improvements and aesthetic upgrades to the grounds.
Apply safe work practices at all times and comply with WHS requirements, site rules and environmental standards.
Liaise with owners, managers, and external contractors as required to coordinate landscaping or outdoor works.
Maintain records of works completed, scheduled maintenance, and any issues affecting the gardens or outdoor areas.
Occasionally assist with minor property maintenance relating to outdoor fixtures and structures where required and within skill level.
About You Australian unlimited work rights (citizens or permanent residents) Relevant qualification in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, Parks and Gardens or a related field (e.g. Certificate III or higher); or substantial relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification.
At least two years of recent, full-time experience as a Landscape Gardener, Groundskeeper or in a similar horticultural role.
Strong practical skills in garden and turf maintenance, pruning, planting, irrigation, and use of landscape machinery.
Sound understanding of plant care, soil improvement, fertilising, pest and disease management, and water-wise gardening practices.
Ability to read and work from basic landscape or garden plans and to plan day-to-day and seasonal maintenance schedules.
Good awareness of workplace health and safety and safe operation of equipment.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload and maintain the property to consistently high standards.
Good communication skills and a professional, reliable and proactive approach to work.
Current driver's licence; additional machinery tickets or licences (e.g. for tractors, chainsaws) will be highly regarded.
