About the company/role:
A leading environmental monitoring organization is looking for Environmental Science graduates or Field Service Technicians to support the calibration, servicing, and maintenance of air quality monitoring systems in road tunnels across Victoria.
* Overnight weekend work for preventative maintenance
* One week of pre‐commencement training (Monday to Friday) at head office
Duties:
* Assist with calibration and routine servicing of tunnel air quality monitors (gases and particulates)
* Support fault finding, diagnostics, and basic repairs under guidance from senior technicians
* Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and site inspections
* Accurately complete service logs, calibration records, and reports
* Work safely in operational tunnel environments, following all site and safety procedures
* Participate in night works, shutdowns, and after‐hours maintenance as required
About You:
* Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or Environmental trade qualification
* Experience as a field service technician is highly regarded
* Strong interest in hands‐on, field‐based work
* Willingness to learn calibration processes and compliance‐driven systems
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
* Good written and verbal communication skills
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Previous exposure to air quality monitoring, sensors, or instrumentation
* Experience working in tunnels, utilities, transport, or industrial environments
* Understanding of calibration, data validation, or environmental compliance
* Confined space, traffic management, or working‐at‐heights tickets
