City of Newcastle has an opportunity for a Companion Animal Officer to join our dedicated Rangers team to ensure the health, cleanliness, and well-being of animals is at the forefront, whilst also providing support to animal welfare initiatives.
As the Companion Animal Officer, you will apply your strong focus on an animal's health, cleanliness, and well-being to provide companion animal management, care and associated education services to both the Council and our community.
You will be responsible for providing efficient operation of hands-on tasks related to the care, comfort, and safety of companion animals, such as feeding, watering, grooming, and exercising the impounded animals according to established standards and guidelines.
The role will also provide valuable support for the Rangers team through managing the administration of animal registrations, customer requests, and business procedures in support of the CN's Animal Management Facility.
