Ace Waste is an Australian family owned and operated company providing professional waste management strategies for the collection and disposal or Regulated and Prescribed Industrial Wastes throughout Queensland and Victoria. Ace Waste services are tailored to Hospitals, Health Care Facilities, Medical professionals, Vets along with the Shipping Industry, Biosecurity Premises, Pharmaceutical Companies and varied Commercial and Industrial entities.
We have a position available for a self-motivated Administration & Payroll Manger who demonstrates excellent understanding of Accounts and Payroll functions and a proven track record in leading and growing an administration team.
About the Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the payroll function while also overseeing the broader administration team. Payroll will account for approximately 2 days per week, with the remainder focused on team leadership, workflow management and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end payroll processing and payroll compliance, including PAYG, Payroll Tax and Superannuation lodgements
* Oversee payroll records, reporting, reconciliations and employee queries
* Interpret awards / conditions and ensure accurate processing of entitlements
* Oversee administration teams across:
o Reception
o Accounts Payable
o Accounts Receivable
* Drive process improvements and support ongoing operational efficiencies
About You
To be successful, you'll bring a strong mix of payroll capability and leadership experience, including:
* 4+ years' end-to-end payroll experience
* Experience processing payroll for 50-100 employees
* Proven experience leading an Administration team
* Confident communicator with a solutions-focused approach
* Strong attention to detail and compliance mindset
* Ability to juggle payroll deadlines with team leadership responsibilities
