The ISD-Sourcing team within the Information Services Division, provides contract management support and contract management services to support critical ISD services. Our team is newly created and will be working closley with business areas, providing contract management advice and procurement advice as well as supporting them with their financial management. In addition, the team ensures that invoices and purchase orders are effectively managed, so that the Division can meet their obligations under the PGPA Act 2013.

The Finance and Contract Officer will, work closely with the central procurement team and the ISD business areas to support contracts that achieve value-for-money outcomes. In a collaborative environment, you will provide advice on best practice procurement and finance processes to meet business needs and align with government procurement directives, while fostering high engagement and commitment among diverse stakeholders.

- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.

**Immediate supervisor**:Assistant Director, Finance and Contracting

Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Service Level 6 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Manage the Goods Receipting and Invoice Management for the Information Services Division
- Problem solve complex issues relating to invoices and purchase orders, to ensure payment deadlines are met
- Support contract management and contract managers with advice to support the management of the contract (including, advice for approaching new procurements and variations).
- Manage the contract expiry profile for the Information Services Division
- Provide procurement advice in accordance with the PGPA Act and CPR's
- Ensure documentation is filed using the endorsed enterprise records management solution.
- Employees of DPS are required to be able, and to be seen to be able, to provide professional advice and services to all Senators and Members without favour or prejudice._

**Selection Criteria**:
3. Experience with excel, creating, managing and manipulating data using excel

4. Experience in complex problem solving and time management

5. An understanding of contract management and an ability to work within the PGPA Act, CPR's and Department of Finance regulations

6. Ability to proactively communicate with and follow up senior level staff

7. Desirable: Cert IV Government Procurement, Finance or Business qualifications or working towards.
