Our federal government client is seeking an experienced Manual Test Analyst to join their delivery teams and ensure high-quality digital solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross functional teams to understand requirements, planning and performing manual testing, managing test plans in Azure DevOps, documenting defects, and verifying that solutions meet business requirements and standards.
As a Senior Manual Tester, you will be required to:
- Review business and functional requirements and collaborate within the multidisciplinary team to design thorough test cases and scenarios.
- Conduct manual testing across web-based applications, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance tests to ensure the software performs correctly.
- Follow best practice standards to identify, record, and track defects using Azure DevOps, ensuring all test plans, cases, summary reports, and traceability matrices are clearly and accurately documented.
- Communicate testing progress and issues effectively with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to support timely resolutions.
The successful candidate must have:
- At least 5 years of experience in manual testing across a broad domain, including but not limited to desktop applications and cloud-based platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing detailed test artefacts, including the creation, review, and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases, as well as formulating effective test strategies and managing defect tracking throughout the testing process.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and productively in a fast-paced setting and within a cross functional and geographically dispersed team.
