About the Role

OzFish is seeking a dedicated professional to assist in delivering fish habitat projects in Gladstone and Central Queensland.
The role involves working from home with regular travel around Gladstone and occasional travel throughout South East and Central Queensland.

1. Identifying and developing project opportunities across marine, freshwater and estuarine environments.
2. Engaging recreational fishers in OzFish activities through community presentations, volunteer field days and science communication.
3. Supporting and assisting in the development of OzFish volunteer capacity in the region.
4. Undertaking project delivery from initial conception and design to obtaining funding and identifying stakeholders.
5. Utilising scientific expertise in local project delivery in diverse fish habitat projects.
6. All aspects of project management including stakeholder management, approvals, permits, mapping and budgeting.
Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Bachelor Degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science or similar discipline.
2. Experience managing multiple projects, juggling deadlines and varied workloads.
3. Experience engaging communities and working with volunteers.
4. Experience developing project proposals, budgets and timelines.
5. Demonstrated high standards in safety and work planning.
