B Lab’s team in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand is part of a large global network and an even larger movement. To date, there are over 10,000 Certified B Corporations spanning more than 160 industries, employing over a million people around the world. The Role
The Regional Director is a newly created position that serves as the strategic leader who translates B Lab's global vision into a regional presence and movement. This role bridges strategy and market execution, ensuring both alignment with global direction and responsiveness to local context. Within clear parameters, this role has significant agency to shape regional strategy, allocate resources, and make decisions that optimise regional performance. Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver the regional strategy aligned to B Lab’s global direction, network priorities and the AANZ operating context. Lead regional performance, including priority setting, resource allocation and disciplined execution against agreed outcomes. Provide stewardship of regional finance, risk, compliance and governance, including P&L ownership, robust controls and clear reporting across jurisdictions. Build and sustain an inclusive, high-performing culture, strengthening systems, ways of working and leadership capability. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with corporates, government and business networks to advance systems change. Serve as a visible, public-facing leader for the B Corp movement - galvanising community growth and engagement and representing the region with credibility. Oversee AANZ products and programs (including certification-related work) and ensure alignment and harmonisation with global strategy and principles. About You
You are an empowering orchestrator with a proven ability to translate global direction into market-level success. You lead with both strategic vision and practical know-how, providing clarity and resources to your teams while trusting and respecting local expertise. You are a natural champion for your region - advocating for its needs, celebrating its wins, and ensuring its voice is heard at the highest levels. Senior stakeholders value you for your ability to bridge network strategy with regional context, making you a trusted translator between global ambition and on-the-ground realities. You are recognised by external partners as a credible and influential presence who builds lasting coalitions and represents your region with authority. Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategy at scale, with the ability to translate vision into measurable outcomes. Demonstrated P&L leadership, financial stewardship and operational discipline, including establishing strong controls and reporting. Established people leadership capability, including coaching leaders, building organisational capability and leading teams through change. Strong stakeholder management skills, with credibility at senior levels and experience working across multiple jurisdictions and complex environments. Experience with not-for-profit governance and/or board engagement. Strong systems thinking and movement-building instincts; comfort operating across business, community, and policy-adjacent contexts. Understanding of the sustainability landscape and (ideally) familiarity with B Corp certification and impact standards. Why B Lab AANZ
