RocketDNA is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Drone Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to safe, effective and efficient operations by carrying out the role and responsibilities of a Drone Maintenance Technician in accordance with all Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) statutes and requirements, including deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of our XBot systems and traditional Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems. Where required, this role provides support to RocketDNA’s staff to help ensure the safety and success of RocketDNA’s operations.Essential Work RequirementsKnowledge of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) including a RePL and AROC (or equivalent radio qualification).Demonstrable organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.Desirable Work-Related RequirementsExperience with programming.Knowledge of electronics and the ability to work with hardware, including Raspberry Pi and/or Arduino.Previous experience managing projects, working with suppliers, consultants and experts in performing product management functions.Must be willing to travel to site.Key AccountabilitiesMaintenance Coordinator (80%)Controls all logistics and maintenance actions for Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) maintenance, either scheduled or unscheduled.Oversees battery management according to the Remote Operators Operations Manual.Follows the onboarding process for new RPA per the Remote Operators Operations Manual.Attends site to complete deployment activities along with relevant personnel.Monitors RPAS maintenance standards as set out in the Remote Operators Operations Manual and reports to the Chief Remote Pilot where any deficiencies exist.Maintains RPAS maintenance records of RPAS in relevant record keeping systems.Maintains a thorough technical knowledge of the organisation RPAS.Ensures maintenance activities are in accordance with the procedures specified in the Maintenance Manual.Investigates identified defects in the RPAS prior to sending them to the maintenance organisation.Guides and manages research and liaison with industry for continuous development of RPAS capabilities as requested by the Chief Remote Pilot.Conducts checks on remote aircraft, systems, batteries, radios etc. and completes required hardware/software updates.Maintains operational readiness of RPA within the fleet.Pilots RocketDNA’s remotely piloted aircraft in a testing and training function only.Liaises with the Chief Remote Pilot on matters affecting the operation of RocketDNA.Conducts remote aircraft air operations in compliance with CASA Statutes and requirements.Conducts flight operations in accordance with the Remote Operators Certificate and Operations Manual.Ensures completion and accuracy of remote pilot logbook/flight times/currency.Other (5%)Understands and complies with information security policies and procedures to ensure information holdings/systems are kept confidential and utilised accurately and reliably.Undertakes other duties as directed.How do your skills match this job?Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Maintenance Coordinator?Do you own or have regular access to a car?Technician - WA - All Regions (Multiple Locations)Canning Vale, Perth WA2d ago
