Your New Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Rostering Systems Administrator to join Melbourne Health Financial Shared Services (MHFSS). This role provides technical and administrative support across our rostering systems, playing a key role in ensuring data accuracy, system integrity, and a positive user experience.
Reporting to the Payroll Systems Manager, you will work closely with Senior Rostering & Payroll Systems Administrators and key stakeholders across Payroll, People & Culture, Finance, IT and operational rostering teams.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys system‐based work, thrives on problem solving, and is keen to develop their expertise in rostering and payroll systems within a large, complex health environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day‐to‐day administration and support of rostering systems, particularly during critical payroll periods
* Maintain employee records, rosters, pay rules, and award configurations
* Deliver first‐level user support and assist with training and onboarding of system users
* Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation activities
* Produce routine and ad hoc reports to support operational, compliance, and workforce needs
* Support compliance with legislation, EBAs, policy requirements, and data security standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and system documentation
About You
You will bring:
* Experience supporting rostering systems (e.g. RosterOn or similar)
* A sound understanding of payroll processes, awards and enterprise agreements
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
* Clear communication skills and a customer‐focused approach
* The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting/data analysis tools
* A willingness to learn and contribute to system enhancements
Desirable
* Qualifications or training in payroll, HR systems, or information systems
