Maintenance Officer – Anglicare Sydney

Full‑time position, immediate start, requires a driver’s licence, Monday‑Friday (may require weekend work).
As our Maintenance Officer based at our Castle Hill Retirement Villages, you’ll undertake general maintenance and repairs to keep village facilities secure, functional, and welcoming for residents. You’ll complete routine preventative tasks as well as responsive maintenance, contributing to a high standard of upkeep across buildings, gardens and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Complete general repairs including door and lock repairs, painting, gutter cleaning, basic concreting, minor roofing tasks and other "handyman" work.
- Undertake preventative maintenance to keep assets at agreed service levels.
- Keep tools and equipment in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and safety procedures followed.
- Represent Anglicare Sydney professionally and respectfully, upholding our values when interacting with residents, contractors and colleagues.
Qualifications
- A basic understanding of maintenance, tools and materials (a certificate in maintenance or a related discipline is preferred).
- A current NSW Driver’s Licence.
- Sound computer skills – Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A practical, safety‑conscious approach and willingness to follow procedures.
- A commitment to upholding Anglicare Sydney’s values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence.
- Ideally, experience working in maintenance roles within residential, aged care or community settings.
