The Role
A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled and dedicated Legal Assistant to join our Commercial Disputes and Insolvency practice in Sydney on a full‐time basis. You will be a key member of the team providing vital administrative support and contributing to the success of the practice.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, phone calls, and emails.
* Diary management and scheduling meetings including travel arrangements and arranging events.
* Preparing legal documents and correspondence.
* File opening and closing including e‐filing, system and matter management.
* Archiving.
* Assisting with monthly billing and client reports.
* General administrative support to solicitors.
* Working collaboratively within a high performing team.
Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience as a legal assistant, ideally in a litigation, disputes and/or insolvency practice.
* Strong understanding of Court processes and litigation procedures.
* Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and practice management systems.
* Strong organisational skills, time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
* A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate the needs of the practice.
