Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Canning Vale WA (Western Australia)

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organised Accounts Assistant to support the finance team of a growing electrical services business. In this role, you'll assist with a range of accounting and administrative tasks to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment follow-up
* Prepare and assist with reconciliations (bank, supplier, etc.)
* Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month-end reporting
* Assist with payroll processing and superannuation submissions
* Help prepare GST reports and BAS documentation
* Provide general administrative support to the finance team
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or a similar role
* Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and organisation skills
* Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a small business environment
Desirable
* Accounting qualification or progress toward one (e.g., Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, AAT)
* Understanding of GST, payroll, and financial compliance in Australia
