Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial management, reporting, and compliance. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting and leadership skills, responsible for ensuring accurate financial operations and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records.
* Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
* Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance.
* Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
* Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
* Support strategic planning and provide financial insights to stakeholders.
* Lead, mentor, and manage accounting or finance team members.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA preferred).
* Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing roles.
* Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
* Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and lead a finance team.
Preferred:
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., MYOB, Xero, SAP, Oracle).
* Previous experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
