Job Description
We are seeking a Strategic Lead to develop and deliver community programmes within the charity sector.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in developing relationships and partnerships, as well as strong leadership skills with the ability to innovate, inspire, and gain respect at all levels of an organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement an innovative programme strategy and sustainable business plan for grant-giving initiatives.
* Identify and secure new partners to support programme success; strengthen relationships with key stakeholders to unlock fundraising, marketing, and grant-making opportunities.
* Assist the Grants Manager in developing a comprehensive grant-making strategy, including participatory practices, and ensure robust monitoring and evaluation for all grant-making initiatives.
* Oversee programme income and expenditure in collaboration with the Finance Team; lead on budgeting, financial monitoring, and reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Ability to create, develop, and deliver quality programmes and projects.
* Significant experience of staff or volunteer line management and development.
* Ability to network and form positive and productive working relationships with a range of people from different professional and personal backgrounds.
* Good verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent coordination and organisational skills, including ability to prioritise and plan own workload, manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
* Experience of gathering and analysing data to evidence outputs and outcomes.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to innovate, inspire and gain respect at all levels of an organisation.
* Understanding of fundraising.
* Good local knowledge of the voluntary sector, understanding of outcomes-focused work, and excellent IT skills including experience of Office365 and databases.
