What You'll Be Doing
The primary purpose of the Hospital Assistant Grade 3 is to support the daily running of Theatres and the Sterilisation Services Unit (SSU). This position will involve providing courier services to external sites, monitoring and maintaining stock levels and supporting nursing staff in the delivery of patient care.
Selection Criteria
* Physically capable of carrying out all duties, including standing for long periods and lifting, pushing and pulling loads.
* Ability to make good decisions about work priorities and achieve key tasks effectively in a busy work area.
* Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Understanding of, and commitment to, providing excellent customer service and maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
* Demonstrated understanding of Infection Prevention and Control requirements.
* Excellent understanding of WHS, including manual handling and risk assessment processes.
* Demonstrated ability to work under broad supervision.
* Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
