Remuneration: $ $60.86 per hour + super

Where you'll be working

Escape the hustle and embrace a rewarding rural role at Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital, set in a picturesque country town on the beautiful Mid North Coast.

This is a temporary part-time opportunity for six months (July 2026 – February 2027), with the potential to commence earlier from February 2026.

Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital Provides

Inpatient rehabilitation for up to 16 patients
Outpatient services and hydrotherapy
A warm, close-knit workplace culture focused on holistic, person-centred care

You'll work alongside a collaborative team of nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, HealthShare and security staff, all committed to delivering planned and meaningful rehabilitation outcomes.

About The Role

As the Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist, you'll be based at Wingham Community Hospital, working within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team. The position is job-shared with an experienced Occupational Therapist, making it an ideal opportunity to:

You'll Be Supported From Day One With

A two-day structured orientation (with extra days available if required)
Ongoing professional support from a broader network of Occupational Therapists at Manning Base Hospital
Access to peer supervision and a strong allied health community

You're a confident and approachable clinician who:

Enjoys working collaboratively within a team
Brings a practical, hands-on approach to patient care
Values connection with patients, families and colleagues

Rehabilitation is a dynamic and deeply rewarding environment. In this role, you will:

Deliver face-to-face therapy to both inpatients and outpatients
Facilitate therapy groups
Work closely with patients and their families to achieve meaningful, functional goals

Requirements

Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in Occupational Therapy with current general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Additional Information

An eligibility list will be created for future temporary part time vacancies.
To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
