Director of Clinical Training • Launceston & Northeast, Australia ResponsibilitiesManage postgraduate medical education and training programmes, and pre‐vocational workforce, within Launceston General Hospital (LGH).Ensure compliance with Australian Medical Council (AMC) requirements through the Postgraduate Medical Education Council of Tasmania (PMCT).Liaise with specialist colleges and the University of Tasmania.Provide guidance and support to the junior medical workforce of Launceston General Hospital.Facilitate training and education sessions in accordance with accreditation standards.Collaborate with PMCT to deliver a fostering environment and pathway for junior doctors.Qualifications and ExperienceSpecialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.Qualifications in education/medical education desirable.Experience in postgraduate medical education and training programmes.Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $254,149 – $445,341 per annum, pro rata (Public Sector Agreement 2019).12% superannuation and salary packaging options.Allowances: living expenses up to $9,010 and meals/entertainment up to $2,650 per year.Professional development support and accelerated pathways, including study leave.Access to a Fitness Passport covering 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for $14.50 per week per person (or $28.05 per week for a family).Other allowances as applicable.About the Role Launceston General Hospital is a 450‐bed teaching hospital and the major referral centre for Tasmania's North and North‐West regions.
