Twin City Hotel is a high-volume, multi-outlet venue (Beer Garden, Sports Bar, Bistro, Café/Lounge and premium Gaming). We're seeking a Venue Operations Manager who reports directly to the General Manager and oversees a strong department leadership team across the venue.

Your leadership scope
* Reporting line: Direct to the GM; acts as 2IC for day-to-day operations.
* Team oversight: Lead and performance-manage department leaders across Bar, Bistro, Café/Lounge, Gaming, Functions & Events, and Security/Compliance (plus Cellar/Maintenance contractors as needed).
* Rhythm & rituals: Run weekly ops huddles, pre-shift briefs and end-of-day handovers; ensure high-quality shift reports.
* Standards & SOPs: Set the bar for service, presentation, cleanliness, compliance and incident response.
What you'll do
* Lead the shift: Be the most visible leader on the floor; set pace, standards and accountability.
* People & culture: Coach managers and supervisors; workforce planning, roster sign-off, onboarding and ongoing training.
* Service excellence: Ensure fast, friendly, consistent service across all Twin City Hotel outlets; handle escalations with calm confidence.
* Compliance & safety: Champion RSA/RMLV, OLGR and WHS; partner with Security to maintain a safe, welcoming venue.
* Commercial control: Hit labour, COGS and waste KPIs; drive product mix, upselling and margin.
* P&L involvement: Contribute to budgeting and monthly P&L reviews with the GM; implement corrective actions.
* Ops precision: Cash-ups, stock accuracy, maintenance follow-through and venue presentation.
* Events & peaks: Support Functions & Events delivery; keep Gaming and Sports Bar humming during peak trade.

* QLD RSA (required) and RMLV/Approved Manager (highly regarded)
