About the Role

Teams meet periodically in various locations worldwide to align on strategy and execution.
The company is founder-led, profitable, and growing. We are expanding our channel sales team to meet increasing demand from channel partners, leveraging their connections to bring open source technology to diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement channel strategies for distributors and resellers within the assigned territory.
2. Increase awareness of Canonical as a leader in Open Source and Cloud (Private, Hybrid, Multi, and Public models).
3. Identify and recruit new potential partners in the territory.
4. Utilize personal networks and prospecting skills to engage new partners and strengthen existing relationships.
5. Guide partners through onboarding and enablement processes.
6. Create mutually beneficial go-to-market plans with partners.
7. Conduct sales and pre-sales training for resellers.
8. Manage the channel pipeline through ongoing partner interactions.
9. Support partner satisfaction and act as a trusted advisor.
10. Maintain regular contact with key resellers and distributors.
Candidate Profile
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology-related field.
* Experience in software or technology sales, especially in the specified market.
* Fluency in English.
* Understanding of open source, Linux, and Ubuntu.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
* Strong follow-up and detail orientation.
* Effective negotiation and closing skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently in a distributed team environment.
* Experience in startup environments is a plus.
