Due to continual growth we are looking for a Civil Design Engineer with 2+ years experience to join the team at our Ballarat Office. We are looking for someone who is motivated by technical excellence, building strong relationships with clients and career development.
Our Civil Engineering Services team delivers a range of diverse and technically challenging projects across the transport, property and buildings and water sectors. The Civil Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of civil works and ensuring these works are delivered in accordance with the clients requirements and relevant standards.
As part of the role you will be required to:
* Design of arterial roads, sub-arterial roads, drainage and other related works for various Government and Private clients.
* Review civil design by others on the team.
* Lead meetings and briefings, communicate with agencies, authorities and clients as required or directed.
* Prepare documentation for design, tendering or construction in accordance with Engineering Standards
* Assist with inspection of roads and related assets and associated reporting.
You may also be involved in:
* Training and mentoring junior staff.

We are looking for someone who is honest, self-motivated and reliable with a high level of attention to detail.
The successful candidate will also have:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, suitable for registration as a Professional Engineer within Victoria
* Minimum 2 year experience in a civil design or similar role (less experience may be considered for suitable applicants)
* Sound knowledge of engineering first principles.
* Experience designing arterial roads, sub-arterial roads, drainage, water reticulation and other related works.
* Experience in 12D and AutoCAD. Experience with MicroStation (desirable).
* The ability to develop strong relationships with all stakeholders.
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of the Civil Design team and with teams from our other service lines.
* Experience designing roads for Department of Transport or Local Government
