About the Opportunity
Based at our 88MW Kareeya Hydro Power Station in Tully, the Mechanical Tradersperson is responsible for a variety of mechanical tasks including plant maintenance, modification, overhauls and plant inspections to meet the operation and maintenance requirements of the station, to ensure reliable and safe operations of CleanCo's FNQ power generation assets, infrastructure and associated critical assets.
Key responsibilities:
* Conduct Operational Inspections and Maintenance - Regularly inspect and maintain plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation.
* Support Failure Investigations and Fault Diagnostics - Analyse equipment failures, diagnose mechanical issues, and contribute to corrective and preventative solutions.
* Prioritize and Coordinate Maintenance Work - execute planned maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize plant performance.
* Supervise Contractors and Internal Personnel - Oversee and coordinate work during maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
* Foster Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to enhance systems, streamline processes, and improve plant efficiency and reliability.
* It is also a requirement to participate in an on-call roster and attending breakdowns as required
This is a permanent, site-based Monday-Friday 36.25-hour roster opportunity and will require you to reside within an hour's drive of Tully. Local candidates are encouraged to apply however relocation assistance will be provided for the successful candidate if required.
About you
* Must hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate and a valid QLD manual driver's license (c class).
* Demonstrated plant/heavy industry experience that supports rigorous technical diagnostics and prognosis abilities, along with experience in engineering solution provision.
* Previous experience with permit to work systems.
* Familiarisation with maintenance, documentation, drawings, cost and safety management systems.
* You have a passion to be part of something bigger than yourself, that contributes to the delivery of a clean energy future crafted in Queensland.
